MSNBC Live’s host Katy Tur has gone full crazy while talking to Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer on 6 Feb.
While doing the regular ‘Putin is the font of all evil’ routine she let her mind wander in the fertile fields of loony left conspiracies and came up with the latest idea we’re sure to hear more of in time to come. Katy used a four step logical deduction that Spock couldn’t better:
1) “Why — what is your sense of why this president is going above and beyond, bending over backwards, if you will, to stay away from criticizing the Russian president?” (that is such a tortured sentence! I can hear almost the words begging to be set free)
2) “As we know, there’s, since 2000, been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in Russia who came out against the government there.”
3) “Donald Trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn’t agree with him here.”
4) “Do you find that this is a dangerous path he is heading down?”
Well that’s an ironclad argument! President Trump isn’t criticising Putin, so far so good, there’s lot’s of other world leaders he’s not picking fights with either but not picking a fight with Putin is definitely suspicious if you’re a Hillary fan. Journalists have died in Russia under fishy circumstances. Probably true soooooo… OK, I’m trying to follow the line of reasoning here. President Trump doesn’t like journalists that have made it their life mission to attack and destroy him. I get that that’s a surprise to most journalist since they’ve been so used to conservative politicians grovelling to them. Still can’t seem to get the connection though. Do you find this is a dangerous path he’s heading down? Ummmm, what path Katy? She outlined no ‘path’ and no ‘heading’ except some weird combination of sentences that have no connection to each other for normal English speakers.
If you thought the hysteria and craziness of the media, or Trump Derangement Syndrome as it’s also know, couldn’t get any worse, I’ve got some bad news for you. There is apparently no end to the inventiveness of these people and the nonsense they can put together and foist on you as ‘news’. Think MacGyver with information and somehow managing to create a political atom bomb out of a dead battery and some rumours that came from a dog’s grandmother. But hey, if you can say it with a grave look on your face and talk to an ‘expert’ you might be able to pull it off.
Critical analysis isn’t something that’s encouraged in society too much these days but there’s kids in preschool that wouldn’t be taken in by such a load of tosh.
